What is a Form A relay, and when should they be used?
Form A relays (or normally open/NO relay) have a single set of contacts that are normally open, meaning the circuit is open when the relay is not energized. When the relay is energized, the contacts close, allowing current to flow. Form A relays are often used to control the power supply to a circuit – turning something on or off – such as switching lights or motors.
