Asynchronous vs Isochronous Communications
Asynchronous communication is a timed communication standard. Each bit has a particular width and time that it needs to be stable. Isochronous communication does not have that constraint. Isochronous sends an extra signal along with the data that tells the receiver when to look at the data bit to know whether it’s a zero or a one.
