The 3604-DB9 high-speed PCMCIA serial interface card provides a single high-speed PCMCIA serial link to modems, terminals, printers or other data collection equipment. Designed using the XR16C850 UART, the card provides deep 128-byte FIFOs, 8 times more buffer capacity than products using 16C550 compatible devices. This allows increased throughput, greater reliability, and reduced system overhead at high speeds.
