Sealevel to Highlight Fracking, Petrochemical and Wind Energy Controllers at the Offshore Technology Conference

April 13, 2023

Sealevel Systems, an industry-leading developer and manufacturer of industrial I/O and embedded computing solutions, announces its exhibition at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC). The annual event, at the NRG Park in Houston, Texas, from May 1-4, 2023, will feature over 1,000 exhibitors and 300 technical presentations focused on the technology, infrastructure, and resources to support the future of offshore energy.

Enabling Energy Automation for Power Generation

Sealevel will showcase and demonstrate products including the HazPAC® 10 Rugged Panel PC and Relio® R1 Industrial Computer alongside an expansive portfolio of automation and data acquisition solutions. Visitors to booth 1156 will also be entered to win a Traeger Pro 575 Pellet Grill.

Originally designed for industrial heat tracing, the HazPAC 10 has quickly emerged as the preferred touch panel controller for petrochemical and oil and gas applications. The system includes a machined front bezel that maintains NEMA 4/IP64 standards for protection from liquids. The touchscreen integrates a glass surface that is waterproof, and impervious to flames, chemicals, solvents, and stylus use for maximum abrasion and scratch resistance. HazPAC 10

  • Certified by ATEX, IECEx, and for Class I, Division 2 (Groups A, B, C, D, T4)
  • Wide -40°C to 60°C operating temperature range
  • Durable 5-wire resistive touchscreen with glass surface is abrasion and scratch-resistant
  • Intel® Atom E3845 quad-core processor
  • Available in 8.4‚” or 15” touchscreen models

The Relio R1 is now a standard product in Sealevel’s embedded computing catalog and started as a solution for fracking operations. To meet specifications more stringent than those outlined in MIL-STD-810, the Relio R1 is intentionally designed to minimize heat production and dissipate thermal energy efficiently. The Relio R1 also exceeds performance under shock and vibration, with a fanless design and no moving parts.

  • Wide -40°C to 71°C operating temperature rangeR14000-DVA-KT Rugged, Compact Industrial Computer
  • Compact, extremely rugged, anodized aluminum enclosure
  • Configurable system and I/O options to meet application-specific requirements.
  • Zero maintenance —solid-state design with no fans or other moving parts
  •  Exceeds military shock and vibration specifications

Responding to the Energy Evolution

In recognition of the energy transition leading to a cleaner, more sustainable future, Sealevel will also display the latest rugged computer for energy production applications. This COM Express Type 6 design features high-speed, networked I/O suitable for complex control requirements. To achieve the environmental requirements, this fanless controller has a finned enclosure design, supported by intentional component placement and heat sinking.

“Sealevel has an established history of providing rugged controllers and automation solutions for leaders across the oil and gas landscape. As we continue to support affordable energy options, combined with achieving climate goals, we’re excited about our involvement in this next phase of sustainable energy” says Earle Foster, Sr VP of Sales for Sealevel.

OTC 2023 Programming

The theme for OTC 2023 is “Delivering the Future of Offshore Industry,” and includes keynotes from executive speakers and a robust technical program. Attendees will also have access to the Energy Transition Pavilion with dedicated resources aimed at the advancement of low-carbon technologies. Registration for attendees is now open; Sealevel guests are encouraged to contact their sales representative for a complimentary invitation.

ABOUT OFFSHORE TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE (OTC)

Since 1969, OTC is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters.
