Sealevel Releases New PCI Board with Advanced Architecture

December 21, 2023

Sealevel Systems announces the release of the 7803c Low Profile PCI Serial Interface with eight RS-232 ports. The 7803c enables a wide range of non-standard baud rates through an advanced architecture with eight independent, enhanced 16550 compatible UARTs that provide 256-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs.

With support for RS-232 data rates up to 230.4 Kbps, the 7803c Low Profile PCI Serial Interface is intentionally designed for data-intensive applications including automation, control, test and measurement, and point-of-sale. All RS-232 modem control signals are implemented for maximum compatibility with a wide range of serial peripherals. For deployments in extreme environments, the 7803c features a wide operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. Sealevel’s SeaCOM software is included for easy installation and operation.

“Sealevel’s PCI serial solutions are established as the industry standard based on our extensive I/O experience and continued commitment to providing unmatched software and service. With the 7803c specifically, we are able to meet the needs of customers that need high performance data routing, coupled with long-term availability,” said Earle Foster, Sr VP of Sales for Sealevel.
