Description

The 7205 PCI Low Profile serial interface provides two serial ports, each individually configurable for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485. The board is capable of data rates to 921.6K bps and automatically handles RS-485 transmitter enable/disable. The 7205 utilizes 16C850 UARTs to provide 128-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs for maximum reliability in data-intensive applications. The board ships with a 36-inch cable that terminates to two DB9M connectors.

The Sealevel SeaCOM software driver and utilities make installation and operation easy using Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems.

The 7205 is compatible with any low profile PCI slot. A standard profile bracket is also included.

Excellent documentation and customer support.
We are using the 7205 Low Profile PCI 2-Port RS-232, RS-422, RS-485 Serial Interface card configured as a dual port RS-422 interface between a Windows XP based computer system and an external keyboard and trackball. The provided Software drivers and product documentation facilitated easy configuration and implementation of the card into the system. When an issue did arise it was quickly addressed and resolved through your customer service department.
