Thankful Thursday: Family Promise and United Christian Ministries

November 23, 2017

While our products may be used across the nation and world (even outer space), we humbly acknowledge the importance of our local framework. We hope to express our deep appreciation through a “month of giving” to Liberty, Pickens and Greenville area organizations.

This month, we are sponsoring five organizations particularly in need for the fall/winter season: Liberty Area Schools, Fostering Great Ideas, Pickens County Meals on Wheels and United Christian Ministries. This is the third and fourth profile as part of our “Thankful Thursday” series.

If you’re nearby and want to donate, feel free to bring your donations by our plant or deliver directly to these organizations. If getting gifts to these groups isn’t feasible for you, please join us in the spirit of philanthropy by giving to a local charity of your choice. Tag your donations with #monthofgiving and we’ll celebrate your generosity!

Family Promise of Pickens County

Donations: Bar Soap, Body Wash, Copy Paper, Dish Towels, Fast Food Gift Cards, Gas Cards, Plastic Bins, Towels and Wash Cloths

At Sealevel, family is important. Not all families have the privilege of provision and experience homelessness, hunger and despair. Family Promise of Pickens is a nonprofit organization committed to helping low-income families achieve lasting independence. Family Promise enables churches and volunteers to meet homeless families’ immediate needs for shelter, meals and comprehensive support services. We relish the opportunity to give families in need a chance at security and stability.

United Christian Ministries

Donations: Canned Chicken & Tuna, Canned Fruits/Applesauce, Canned Meals, Canned Soup, Rice, Spaghetti, Spaghetti Sauce

When it comes to solving problems in our communities, cooperation and collaboration are the cornerstones of success. Sealevel chose UMC because they exist as an extension of the local church community: working together to help people meet their basic needs by offering direct services, education and advocacy. They extend the umbrella of compassion to individuals that might be missed.
