Description
The Relio R1420 is a small, rugged embedded computer that operates without fans and is designed for harsh, industrial environments.
The Relio R1420 offers a wealth of standard I/O features including dual Gigabit Ethernet, six USB 2.0 ports, four serial ports, 8-bit GPIO, audio output and VGA video. Powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom® N450 CPU, the R1420 includes 2GB RAM and offers very low power consumption while operating fanless up to 50C ambient. This makes the computer perfect for a variety of industrial and commercial environments including mobile applications, embedded control, test & measurement and HMI applications.
The system will operate from optional CompactFlash. An optional 2.5″ SATA solid-state disk (SSD) can be integrated and preloaded with Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems. Popular options include 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 Professional. Linux is also supported. Operating from solid-state disk, the fanless design offers the ultimate in reliability with no moving parts.
The system is powered from your 9-30VDC source or select from a variety of Sealevel power supply options. The system is housed in a compact, rugged metal enclosure with the same footprint as Sealevel SeaI/O modules. Optional brackets allow for versatile mounting to walls, under counters, on tabletops, or even to DIN rails.
Local or remote I/O expansion is available using Sealevel SeaI/O modules. Choose from a variety of I/O configurations including optically isolated inputs, Reed and Form C relay outputs, TTL interfaces, A/D, and D/A. The R1420 connects to SeaI/O modules via the system’s RJ45 pass-through port and communicates using RS-485 Modbus RTU.
Extended temperature motherboards, hard drives and other options are available. Call today to discuss a solution for your specific application.

Relio R1420 Review
As a Lead Technician performance and reliability are very important to us and our customers. We have deployed Relio computers, in the harshest of environments, for over three years now with great success and a very low failure rate. Sealevel support has always been available to assist when issues arose and I would highly recommend both the Relio computer and Sealevel should a small footprint industrial computer be required.
